ACC and ACC Stop & Go

Adaptive cruise control (ACC) allows a driver to go with the flow in traffic. In this system, a radar sensor monitors the situation in front of the vehicle. When the road is clear, ACC maintains the desired speed. If the radar sensor detects a slower vehicle ahead, ACC automatically adjusts the speed to maintain a preset distance. In the Stop & Go version, the system slows the car down in a traffic jam, or even stops it completely. If the car has automatic transmission, Stop & Go also restarts the engine once traffic gets moving again after a brief pause.
