Karlsruhe and Plochingen, Germany – Driver assistance systems are now standard equipment in all vehicle classes, where they support the driver and help avoid accidents. But ensuring that these systems work safely and reliably at all times calls for precise settings and carefully calibrated sensors and camera systems. To this end, Bosch has developed ADAS One Solution, a software program for the efficient recalibration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The new ADAS One Solution helps workshop mechanics set up their calibration device efficiently and guarantees precise settings for a vehicle’s various ADAS systems, all while respecting manufacturers’ strict specifications. The portfolio was recently expanded to include the CTA 120 radar reflector for calibrating radar sensors as well as the CTA 110 Doppler simulator for lateral and rear radar calibration. Both can also be set up and fine-tuned using the ADAS One Solution calibration software. This means workshops can operate their own high-performance, future-proof ADAS calibration system independent of vehicle brand, while halving the setup time compared to manual measurement and alignment routines. A report printed out once the work is complete documents the exact ADAS settings together with all data; this can serve as proof that the work performed is manufacturer-compliant.

Efficient processes through optimized user guidance

ADAS One Solution takes users through the process of setting up the calibration system step by step. The software can either be fully integrated into Bosch’s Esitronic workshop software or run independently on a PC or laptop. It gives users easy-to-follow instructions on the camera-assisted, vehicle-specific alignment, positioning, and height of calibration boards as well as the necessary distances from the vehicle. Moreover, the new positioning software features optimized user-friendly navigation, setup instructions, and display screens. Animated graphics give users step-by-step visual instructions during setup. Once all default settings have been checked, workshop mechanics can carry out the diagnostic process and then perform the calibration routine.

Precise ADAS calibration for practically all vehicle types

The new CTA 120 universal radar reflector can be used for exact calibration of different manufacturers’ radar sensor types. The CTA 110 Doppler simulator supports lateral and rear radar calibration to ensure full functionality of the lane change assist. Both systems can be fitted to the DAS 3000 and their settings adjusted using the ADAS One Solution calibration software. There are individual starter kits for Bosch’s DAS 3000 calibration device for the various manufacturers’ systems, while calibration boards for camera systems, front radar, and lidar systems as well as calibration floor mats for rear and surround cameras are also available separately.
