Karlsruhe, Germany – For over 15 years, Bosch has been a competent partner for workshops with fully automatic A/C service units and accessories for the maintenance of air conditioning systems in vehicles. To also support the repair of these systems, Bosch is now expanding its workshop program throughout Europe with the essential components of the A/C system. Compressors and condensers were already available in some countries last year. Starting from 2025, the existing program, supplemented by dryers, expansion valves and evaporators, will be available to workshops throughout all of Europe. The program covers vehicles from various manufacturers and will be continuously expanded.

A/C Components in proven Bosch quality

Extensive endurance and leak tests ensure reliable performance and long service life of the A/C components, while strict corrosion tests ensure high weather resistance. Thanks to precisely fitting connections and compressors being pre-filled with oil, the workshop mechanic can easily and time-efficiently install the replacement parts. Additionally, comprehensive installation instructions are available online. Bosch’s global distribution network ensures fast delivery of the new A/C components. Workshops can order them via the known national distribution channels.

Parts, test equipment, and service for A/C systems from a single source

In addition to the five central components of modern vehicle air conditioning systems, Bosch supplies other products for working on the A/C system, such as drive belts, cabin filters, cabin fans, and engine cooling fans. Furthermore, the proven A/C service units from the ACS series, accessories, and oils for the A/C circuit are available for the maintenance of air conditioning systems. Bosch thus provides the necessary test equipment and spare parts for the professional maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems from a single source. Bosch's training offerings also include the legally required certificate of competence for working on air conditioning systems.

Important role of the A/C system in electric vehicles’ thermal management

Thanks to decades of development and manufacturing experience, Bosch has in-depth knowledge of the thermal systems that keep vehicles’ engine components within their optimum temperature range. Electric coolant pumps, solenoid valves, and engine cooling fans are already part of the wide range of products in this area. In the future, however, the entire A/C system will also play an important role in the thermal management of electric vehicles. Previously used only for interior cooling, the A/C circuit will now also be used to cool the powertrain components of hybrid and electric vehicles. This keeps the battery, electric motor, and power electronics within the optimum temperature range to ensure reliable operation.
