Dr. Stefan Hartung has been chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH and a shareholder of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG since January 1, 2022. His responsibilities include corporate strategy, corporate communications and governmental affairs, and technology development. He is also responsible for corporate research and advance engineering, corporate quality management, and the corporate department Technology Manufacturing . In addition, he is responsible for the Bosch Healthcare Solutions GmbH subsidiary and Bosch operations in China.

Born in Dortmund on January 13, 1966, Stefan Hartung is married and has two children. He studied mechanical engineering, specializing in manufacturing technology, at RWTH Aachen, where he also submitted his PhD (Dr.-Ing.) in 1993.

He joined Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH in Munich in 2004. Before that, he worked for the Fraunhofer Society and the management consultants McKinsey & Company in Düsseldorf.
