Bosch unveiled more new devices with rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for the 2010 gardening season. One of these was the world’s first chainsaw with 36 V lithium-ion battery – the AKE 30 LI. It delivers an exceptional cutting performance and is easy to operate. Combining a powerful 36 V rechargeable lithium-ion battery and an electric motor, the cordless chainsaw achieves 2.5 times more cuts per battery charge and a four times higher cutting power than competitors’ cordless chainsaws. This enables very eco-friendly operation in locations such as orchards without a mains power supply. Even tree trunks up to 25 cm in diameter are no problem for the cordless chainsaw.
