No more frayed branch ends and aching upper arms: With the AdvancedPrune 18V-45, Bosch is putting a powerful cordless pruner in the hands of DIY gardeners. The new tool makes it possible to trim trees and fruit-bearing flora without expending lots of energy. Above all, though, it gets the job done smoothly and cleanly, helping to promote healthy plant growth in the process. The AdvancedPrune 18V-45 is the first cordless pruner from Bosch in the ‘18V Power for All System’. The latter also covers all representative tools in each segment, currently comprises about 70 DIY tools, gardening tools, and home appliances, and even extends beyond the Bosch range with additional partners in the cross-brand ‘Power for All Alliance’. All tools – from rotary hammer to lawn mower and even vacuum cleaner – can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and only one charger. This saves users space and money and protects the environment.

Quick Cut Technology speeds the job along

The stainless steel blade cuts through softwood and hardwood branches with thicknesses of up to 45 millimeters and 35 millimeters respectively. As a result, it can handle much larger cutting diameters than comparable competitor models. Despite the thickness of the branches, the AdvancedPrune 18V-45 gets the job done fast thanks to Quick Cut Technology, which allows the tool to slice through 30-millimeter branches in a matter of seconds. With a fully charged 2.0 Ah battery, the AdvancedPrune 18V-45 can manage up to 600 cuts of this thickness. This is thanks to the optimum coordination of all key components, such as the motor and gearbox, in combination with an intelligent electronic control system called ‘Syneon Technology’. Only Bosch offers this interaction between motor electronics and battery. This enables the tool to deliver optimum power and maximum endurance for every project, while also maintaining its full performance until the battery is empty.

Cuts from any angle

The AdvancedPrune 18V-45 has a unique 360-degree trigger. This feature allows full rotation of the tool to position the pruner in the best angle, making it easier to reach hidden branches and work effectively even in places that are hard to access. Cuts are executed by simply twisting and pulling the trigger. This means that the cutting motion of the pruner can be effortlessly triggered from any position without requiring any strength from the user – no matter how thick the wood is.

Smooth pruning – even high up

Users can extend the length of the cordless pruner from 1.2 to 1.8 meters using the extension pole, which is separately available or already included in various sets. As a result, there is no need for users to bend over when cutting at ground level, helping them protect their backs while gardening. The pruner also allows precise and comfortable trimming of high branches. The small clearing hook at the end of the tool makes it possible to pull wedged branches safely to the ground – a particularly practical feature when working at height or with thorny plants.

The AdvancedPrune 18V-45 cordless pruner will be available from March 2024 onwards. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
