Intuitive operation, particularly robust design – this is what the GRL 600 CHV Professional, the first connected rotation laser from Bosch, is all about. It offers professionals in structural and civil engineering, road construction, warehouse building or landscaping high operating convenience with horizontal and vertical leveling in a working range of 600 meters (diameter): The rotation laser is connected simply via Bluetooth with the smartphone and then conveniently controlled, checked and personalized via the Levelling Remote App. With the GRL 600 CHV Professional, professionals have a constant view of the status via a user interface. Furthermore, due to its robustness the rotation laser is particularly suitable for different indoor and outdoor construction site applications: With IP 68 protection, it is dust-proof and watertight ‒ this also includes the battery thanks to an enclosed battery compartment. The lateral grips protect the rotation laser against impacts and makes it tilt-resistant up to a height of two meters when the tool is used with a tripod. Furthermore, its application range is extended by the newly integrated dual slope function. It is used, for example, for alignment of drainage systems to a central drain and guarantees precise results through the option for entering both inclinations directly at the tool or per app.

Per display and app: More control for simple, precise results

Professionals can conveniently adjust settings or read results via the user interface, a simple and intuitively operated display. The Levelling Remote App provides added value: It can be used, for example, to visualize the dual slope function. Grades with an inclination in the X- and Y-axis of ± 8.5 percent can thus be easily visualized and adjusted. Larger inclinations can be set manually as required ‒ thus the application range is very wide. Other functions that can be set via the display and app include, for example, the sweep angle, rotation speed and the Anti-Drift System (ADS). It is activated as soon as the position of the device has been changed by an impact or vibration caused, for example, by strong wind. This minimizes measuring errors. Interference with other rotation lasers can also be avoided: The laser beam can be deactivated per “Mask Mode” in the Levelling Remote App for individual or connected quadrants. The professionals therefore do not disturb each other mutually during work. Time and money saving is guaranteed by “uCal”, the calibration assistant of the app: It offers step-by-step instructions for simple calibration. The device no longer has to be sent to the service center for this purpose. Measuring errors are minimized and professionals can count on an accuracy of ± 0.05 millimeters per meter.

Functional equipment from receiver to battery

The GRL 600 CHV Professional works with the receiver LR 60 Professional. This is equipped with an extra long reception window of 125 millimeters and thus reliably detects the position of the laser beam. With the “Centre Line” function activated the center of the receiver is found automatically by the rotation laser and the laser is then aligned to it. Two illuminated displays ‒ one on the front and rear side of the receiver respectively ‒ make it easy to read the laser beam. Thanks to the softgrip, the receiver fits well in your hand and, if necessary, during calibration of the rotation laser for example, can be attached easily by hooks and integrated magnets or secured to metallic surfaces.

Thanks to a dual power supply, the GRL 600 CHV Professional is always ready for operation: It is compatible with all batteries in the Bosch Professional 18 Volt system up to 8.0 Ah. Applications with the high-performance battery ProCore18V with 4.0 Ah are particularly efficient ‒ with a runtime of up to 60 hours. Alternatively, the device can also be operated with four D cell batteries – a matching adapter is included in the scope of supply.

The GRL 600 CHV Professional is available from March 2020. The RC 6 Professional remote control and the WM 6 Professional wall mounting are among the features that make it easier for professionals to use. Accessories such as tripods and measuring rods are available from the Bosch accessory range.
