The right tool for every job: Bosch now offers a full range of cordless jigsaws for DIYers with the addition of the AdvancedSaw 18V-140. The new cordless tool with a cutting depth of up to 140 mm gives experienced users exactly what they need to take on even larger projects. Bosch already offers the EasySaw 18V-70 and UniversalSaw 18V-100 tools for simpler applications. The jigsaws are all part of the ‘18V Power for All System’ from Bosch, which covers all representative tools in each segment, currently comprises about 70 DIY tools, gardening tools, and home appliances, and even extends beyond the Bosch range with additional partners in the cross-brand ‘Power for All Alliance.’ All tools – from rotary hammer to lawn mower and even vacuum cleaner – can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and only one charger. This saves users space and money and protects the environment.

Deeper cuts and more power for big projects

Thanks to its brushless motor, the AdvancedSaw 18V-140 provides as much performance as a corded tool and is particularly robust and low-maintenance as well. The cordless jigsaw delivers maximum endurance for every project. This is based on the intelligent control electronics called ‘Syneon Technology’. Only Bosch offers this interaction between the motor electronics and the battery. With a cutting depth of up to 140 mm in wood, the cordless jigsaw goes deeper than competitor models and is therefore particularly well suited to cutting large pieces of wood, such as beams for a pergola. The AdvancedSaw 18V-140 can also be used to cut plastic or aluminum pipes or trim baseboards to size with ease. Not only that, but the robust aluminum base plate can be rotated 45° for miter cuts.

Clear view and precision cutting

Everything in full sight: Users can choose between extraction or blowing for a clear view of their cuts. Those looking to work accurately while minimizing dust can activate the extraction system on the tool and connect a compatible vacuum cleaner to the jigsaw’s extraction fitting, such as the AdvancedVac 18V-8 cordless wet/dry vacuum cleaner. The optimum positioning of the extractor right next to the saw blades ensures that the dust is removed at the source. This allows users a better view of the cutting line and a cleaner, healthier working environment, particularly when using the tool indoors. Up to 85 % of the dust and shavings are extracted straight from the saw blade. If no compatible vacuum cleaner is available, the blowing mode can be activated with the flick of a switch to quickly and reliably blow the shavings forward and provide an uninterrupted view of the cutting line. A range of accessories that come standard also helps DIYers achieve precision cuts. They include the easy-attach CutControl system that helps users follow their cutting line and the splinter guard that prevents damage to the top of the workpiece. Also included is the protection shoe, which protects sensitive surfaces from nicks and scratches while sawing. With the tried-and-tested SDS single-hand quick-release system, saw blades can be swapped out in just seconds without the need for any additional tools.

The AdvancedSaw 18V-140 is available from April 2024 onwards. All prices are recommended retail prices and include VAT.
