Lidar sensors – the third type of sensor technology needed for automated driving, alongside radar and camera

Bosch is now working on making lidar sensors production-ready as well. In addition to radar and cameras, lidar is the third essential sensor technology. The Bosch longrange lidar sensor can also detect non-metallic objects at a great distance, such as rocks on the road.
