Bosch is consistently expanding the Biturbo series for professionals: The new 18V tools ‒ a cordless hand-held circular saw, a cordless table saw and two cordless impact wrenches ‒ are again setting new standards in terms of performance. The specially developed, brushless high-performance motor has been optimally coordinated with the electronics and battery to exploit the full potential of the recommended ProCore18V batteries with 5.5 Ah or 8.0 Ah and 12.0 Ah. This combination is what makes power-intensive sawing applications and serial bolting possible in the first place. In addition, their features outperform current tools, such as the Biturbo GDS 18V-1000 C Professional and the GDS 18V-1050 HC Professional impact wrenches. The tools can be paired with a smartphone and offer craftsmen even more functions thanks to connectivity and a new user interface.

Now with saw blade on the left: Biturbo GKS 18V-70 L Professional hand-held circular saw

The GKS 18V-70 L Professional is the first cordless hand-held circular saw from Bosch with a saw blade on the left. It is designed for left-handers and craftsmen who prefer sawing on the left. With 70 mm, it offers the best cutting depth in its class, thus enabling a wider range of applications than common cordless hand-held circular saws with a 190-mm blade. The front features a bow handle rather than a knob, making it easier and safer to move ‒ even in a beveled position. This is what sets the GKS 18V-70 L Professional apart in terms of ergonomics. Carpenters and roofers, for example, can use the cordless hand-held circular saw to cut beams quickly and reliably to length and conveniently cut boards from wooden materials such as chipboard, plywood, or fiberboard. No matter what is being sawed, the integrated LED always clearly illuminates the cutting line. In addition, its 360-degree rotating chip ejector can be connected to standard suction hoses with 35 mm as well as Bosch’s own Click & Clean system which contains wet/dry extractors such as the GAS 18V-10 L Professional, which is also battery-powered. The result: precise and low-dust sawing.

Best cutting capacity: Biturbo GTS 18V-216 Professional table saw

The GTS 18V-216 Professional is the first cordless table saw in the range and, like its corded pendant the GTS 635-216 Professional, offers the best cutting capacity in its class: 70 mm cutting height and 635 mm cutting width with a saw blade diameter of 216 mm. It is especially suitable for cutting board materials and reliably cuts squared timber and baseboards to length. The table saw is also easy to transport thanks to its compact design, low weight, and ergonomic handles. Push stick, angle guide, rip fence and blade guard are stowed away for transport directly on the tool – so that nothing gets lost and everything is ready-to-hand. Furthermore, with its self-closing blade guard, soft start, restart protection, safety switch, dust bag and Click & Clean adapter for low dust working, the table saw guarantees a high level of occupational health and safety. A wide range of accessories optimized for both cordless saws is available: “Expert for” and “Standard for” blades with carbide technology extend the battery runtime, for example.

Now with user interface and connectivity: Biturbo impact wrenches

The GDS 18V-1000 C Professional and GDS 18V-1050 HC Professional impact wrenches offer added value to craftsmen thanks to the user interface on the tool and now also through smartphone connectivity functions. The main difference between the two is the tool holder, at ½-inch and ¾-inch” respectively. Craftsmen can select three speed levels directly on the tool and thus have the best speed and torque control at all times. With the GDS 18V-1050 HC Professional, these are a maximum of 1,750 rpm and 1,050 Nm ‒ providing power and speed for demanding serial bolting with maximum screw diameters of up to M24. Fitters in industrial, metal and timber construction can always see the battery and tool status thanks to the integrated LED that lights up based on the traffic light principle: “Green, Yellow, Red”. Both Biturbo impact wrenches also feature two modes which are preset for common screwdriving tasks in metal/mode A and wood/mode B. In metal mode, the “Shut-off after time” function ensures that the impact wrench stops forward movement within one second as soon as the screw or nut is flush on the surface of the workpiece. The ABR function, on the other hand, engages when loosening screws and switches off the tool as soon as the nut is loose. The nut is therefore not lost during disassembly. In wood mode, in which wooden screws approved for impact drivers can be used, the “Auto shut-off” function automatically switches off the tool when the screw head is flush with the surface of the workpiece, thus preventing it from being damaged. Each predefined function ‒ Shut-off after time, ABR and Auto shut-off ‒ can be further individualized using the Bosch Toolbox App and stored for later applications as “Custom Modes”. Fitters can therefore save time during repetitive serial bolting and always ideally set the tool to the specific application. The GDS 18V-1000 C Professional and GDS 18V-1050 HC Professional offer professional users maximum flexibility.

Biturbo tools ‒ the most powerful cordless tools from Bosch

The cordless hand-held circular saw, the cordless table saw and the cordless impact wrenches join a whole range of powerful Biturbo tools from Bosch. Other flagship products for woodworking are available, including hand-held circular saws, plunge saws, miter saws, various rotary hammers SDS max and SDS plus, as well as angle grinders. Full power is achieved by the Biturbo tools when paired with ProCore18V batteries of 5.5 Ah or more. The Bosch Professional 18V System guarantees compatibility with new and existing power tools and chargers in this voltage class.

The GTS 18V-216 Professional table and the connected GDS 18V-1000 C Professional and the GDS 18V-1050 HC Professional impact wrenches will be available from September, the GKS 18V-70 L Professional hand-held circular saw from January.
