NEVONEX market launch: now available in German-speaking regions

Stuttgart – With the NEVONEX digital platform initiated by Bosch, farmers and contractors can now use the enormous potential of digital agriculture with ease. Under the premise "Digitalization fully under control with one installation," the NEVONEX platform and software were developed and the necessary hardware was launched on the market together with NEVONEX partners. The NEVONEX Box required for using the mentioned digital platform can now be installed on tractors and self-driving vehicles. With the box, farmers can use Digital Services in real time from any manufacturer to control the various implements and also automatically document the corresponding work data to be used in digital farm management systems, for instance. "The first Digital Services are now available, and with the MyNEVONEX portal and NEVONEX Cockpit app, the user interfaces are also online. We are delighted that this marks the official launch of the first open digitalization platform for agriculture on the market and unites Digital Services from different providers with full compatibility, no matter which manufacturer is involved," says Dr. Micha Muenzenmay, managing director and chief technology officer (CTO) of NEVONEX GmbH.

First Digital Services available – more to follow in summer

In recent weeks, the first three Digital Services running on the NEVONEX system were launched: the geoNEX app from geo-konzept for controlling implements via application maps, the StG target pressure specification for tire pressure control systems, and the MyEasyFarm fleet management system. Further Digital Services are planned for the summer, such as the Agrarmonitor software for contractors and crop farms, the RAUCH HillControl system for optimizing fertilizer distribution on slopes, xarvio FIELD MANAGER, and a connection to the Agrirouter network. Farmers and contractors can purchase the Digital Services from suppliers and retailers and use them directly in NEVONEX. The NEVONEX Box can be purchased and installed by installation partners, such as agricultural machinery dealers.

Easy retrofit, modularly expandable for future technologies.

For farmers and contractors, it is especially important that the NEVONEX Box can also be retrofit to existing tractors, implements, and harvesters. In addition, the NEVONEX system itself ensures that "one-sided" updates of individual partners in the system are compatible, so that the services used are always fully functional. In addition, the architecture of NEVONEX was designed in such a way that the ecosystem can also integrate approaches that reach far into the future. Farmers are thus provided with a future-proof concept that gives them all the possibilities according to the current state of the art, while leaving them the freedom to go their own way in the direction of "smart and digital farming".

Direct transfer of application maps as a practical example. With NEVONEX, application maps can be transferred directly from the desk to the NEVONEX Box on the tractor and the recorded data can be transferred back to the documentation system. This eliminates the need for manual transfer via USB sticks, which are often still used here.

More exact work, seamless documentation, higher efficiency in operations management. This opens up a technically reliable way for operators to use the very latest smart farming services, even for machines already on the farm, regardless of the brand. Farmers and contractors can therefore use the full benefits of technological advancements. By working more efficiently, applying operating resources more precisely, and maintaining seamless documentation to thereby make better decisions, agricultural businesses can achieve significantly greater efficiency in their operations and increase their profitability. This is just one of the reasons why the NEVONEX system was already awarded a silver medal at the Agritechnica 2019 trade fair.

NEVONEX operating unit detached from Robert Bosch GmbH

On January 1, 2022, the former NEVONEX operating unit was detached from Robert Bosch GmbH and is now an independent German limited liability company that can act quickly and flexibly on the market. The board of management appears as a trio: Dr. Micha Muenzenmay has already been accompanying NEVONEX since the start of the project in 2018 and was significantly involved in setting up and developing the product. As chief technology officer (CTO), he continues to be responsible for the development of NEVONEX. Sven Grochocki has been part of the NEVONEX team since June 2021 and has been responsible as chief financial officer (CFO) for the company finances since January. Dr. Paul Schulze-Cleven has been supporting the NEVONEX team since November 2021 and is responsible as chief marketing office (CMO) for marketing and communication.

Mobility is the largest Bosch Group business sector. In 2023, its sales came to 56.2 billion euros, or just under 60 percent of total Group sales. This makes the Bosch Group one of the leading mobility suppliers. Bosch Mobility pursues a vision of mobility that is safe, sustainable, and exciting.
