New in the Professional 18V System: Powerful Biturbo trio from Bosch for professionals

Bosch is further expanding the Biturbo series – the top segment for cordless tools with maximum performance – by adding three new 18V tools. The cordless rotary hammer GBH 18V-40 C Professional fills in the gap between the existing large Biturbo rotary hammers, the GBH 18V-36 C Professional and the GBH 18V-45 C Professional. The GBH 18V-40 C Professional offers cordless freedom with corded performance and features multiple comfort features. The first ever Biturbo cordless reciprocating saw GSA 18V-28 Professional enables tradespeople to even cut cast-iron pipes quickly and reliably. The third new tool in the Biturbo series is the cordless angle grinder GWS 18V-180 PC Professional, which combines the advantages of large and small angle grinders thanks to its large cutting depth and convenient handling. The tools reach their full potential when powered by ProCore18V batteries with 5.5, 8.0 and 12.0 Ah from the Professional 18V System. The system covers all other major 18V applications – and even goes beyond the Bosch portfolio thanks to the multi-brand AmpShare battery alliance. Many brands, many tools, one battery system: All tools, from compact drill drivers to miter saws with up to 2,000W of equivalent corded power, can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and just one charger – saving tradespeople time, space, and money.

Biturbo cordless rotary hammer: GBH 18V-40 C Professional

The Biturbo cordless rotary hammer GBH 18V-40 C Professional offers best-in-class performance. Thanks to its impact energy of 9 Joules and the integrated Soft Start feature, tradespeople can position the tool precisely for both chiseling and drilling, as well as chisel powerfully and drill holes of up to 40 millimeters in diameter quickly and precisely in concrete. A wide range of Bosch accessories are available, including the especially low-wear drill bits in the Expert series. Unlike comparable tools, the battery of the GBH 18V-40 C Professional is integrated in the front of the hammer and not underneath. This optimizes the center of gravity and makes the tool easier to handle. The decoupled handle also ensures ease of handling and lower tool vibration. In case the drill bit gets stuck, the integrated sensor shuts off the motor in a fraction of a second. This prevents unexpected kickback and offers users higher levels of protection. The tool also comes with an interactive user interface, which allows professionals to see the tool and battery status at a glance, and to customize the hammer to their individual needs. Three work modes are available: ‘Auto’ for maximum performance, e.g. when breaking through concrete, ‘Soft’ for working with sensitive materials such as masonry, and a ‘Favorite’ mode with which the drilling performance can be customized via an app with the aid of a Bluetooth module (an optional accessory). Even transporting the tool has become more comfortable, thanks to an XL-Boxx instead of the previous carrying case.

Biturbo cordless reciprocating saw: GSA 18V-28 Professional

The Biturbo cordless reciprocating saw GSA 18V-28 Professional is suitable for all kinds of demolition work involving metal, wood, composite materials, or masonry. It works at the same level as a 1,100W corded power tool. Installers can even cut through cast-iron pipes quickly and reliably with a carbide-tipped saw blade such as the ‘Expert Thick Tough Metal’. The Bosch range of accessories offers the right saw blade for every application. Thanks to the in-line design and an optimal power-to-weight ratio, professionals can easily use the Biturbo reciprocating saw close to walls and for overhead work. Another advantage: When it comes to working with metal, flying sparks do not obstruct the view of the workpiece. Thanks to the tool-free SDS system, the saw blade can be changed quickly and easily with just one hand, even if the user is wearing gloves. To keep their hands free between two work steps, users can simply hang the well-balanced reciprocating saw on a ladder or scaffolding, using the metal hook at the back of the tool. This saves time and unnecessary walking.

Large Biturbo cordless angle grinder: GWS 18V-180 PC Professional

The Biturbo cordless angle grinder GWS 18V-180 PC Professional stands out at first glance thanks to its 90-degree-rotated gear housing along with a cutting disc. The tool is optimized for effortless cutting and combines the advantages of small and large angle grinders: With its 180 mm cutting disc, it is at least 30 percent lighter and 30 percent smaller than a conventional large angle grinder, while maintaining a comparable cutting depth of 61 mm. Thanks to the Protection Switch (deadman switch), KickBack Control and the Intelligent Brake Function, professionals are better protected, especially in exposed places such as on scaffolding or on a roof. Features also include Soft Start, Restart Protection, Drop Control, and an additional handle with Vibration Control. Tradespeople therefore have maximum control over the powerful Biturbo angle grinder for any application. No matter whether users need to cut metal, concrete, or stone: The tool is ready-to-use thanks to the provided accessories. Further accessories for all relevant applications in metal and abrasive materials, such as the particularly durable ‘Diamond Metal Wheel’ cutting disc from the Expert series, are available in the Bosch accessories range.
