Trim tall hedges and prune hard-to-reach branches effortlessly without a ladder using the new 18 volt garden tools from Bosch. With the UniversalHedgePole 18 hedgecutter and the UniversalChainPole 18 pruner, users can work efficiently and comfortably at heights of three to four meters thanks to the adjustable telescopic pole and pivoting head. The 18 volt tools’ lithium-ion battery technology guarantees continuous cutting performance. For both tools, the good balance and light weight of 3.6 kilograms including the battery provide great ease of use, ensuring that your arms and back are well taken care of, even when the tools are used for a long time. Furthermore, the ergonomically designed handle with Softgrip plus a secondary handle allows comfortable use.

UniversalHedgePole 18 hedgecutter

With the Bosch UniversalHedgePole 18, users can quickly and accurately cut young shoots and small to medium branches on tall hedges such as conifers, privets, beeches or yews. The hedgecutter has a 43-centimeters blade, its length is adjustable and the tool measures 2.0 to 2.6 meters from the tip protector to the handle. Its head can be pivoted around 135 degrees offering even more

flexibility. The Bosch anti-blocking system guarantees a continuous cutting performance even for thicker branches: If the tool fails to cut through a branch at the first attempt, micro-electronics in the motor adjust the running direction of the blades so that they are applied to the same point until the branch has been cut through. Bosch is the only company on the market offering such technology.

UniversalChainPole 18 pruner

The UniversalChainPole 18 prunes hard-to-reach branches up to 150 millimeters in diameter. Its head can be pivoted around by up to 120 degrees. Its length is adjustable and the tool measures 2.0 to 2.6 meters from the tip protector to the handle. This means that users can slim down treetops or cut branches at different heights without damaging the tree. With a chain speed of four meters per second and a chain length of 20 centimeters, the pruner offers a powerful and continuous cutting performance. The tip protector ensures safe and comfortable guidance of the tool when undercutting. The automatic chain provides for easy maintenance while using the tool, whereas the transparent oil tank allows you to quickly check the oil level when needed.

Optimum power and maximum run time thanks to the “Syneon Chip”

The UniversalHedgePole 18 hedgecutter is designed for trimming young shoots from hedges, and the UniversalChainPole18 pruner for cutting branches with a diameter of up to 150 millimeters. Both tools are extremely efficient in doing so. The basis is the optimum coordination of key components such as the motor and the gearbox, combined with an intelligent electronic system called the “Syneon Chip”. This gives customers optimum power and maximum runtime at all times for all cutting jobs. Furthermore, the tools remain powerful right up to the last second of cutting – they run on the full power until the battery is empty.

A smart combination: “Power for All” from Bosch

The UniversalHedgePole 18 and UniversalChainPole 18 are part of the “Power for All” battery system which comprises DIY and garden tools. 21 different power tools, from grass trimmers to rotary hammers, can currently be operated using the same 18 volt lithium-ion battery. This enables do-it-yourselfers to do without batteries and chargers that they do not need, and they can save money at the same time. The “Power for All” logo on the packaging shows which tools are part of the system.

The cordless UniversalHedgePole 18 and the cordless UniversalChainPole 18 will be available from January 2018 onwards. The prices listed are recommended retail prices including VAT. Subject to change.
