Personnel Changes at Bosch Power Tools:

Thomas Donato and Dr. Katharina Hartl appointed to Board of Management

  • Effective June 1, 2023, Thomas Donato will take over from Henk Becker as President of Bosch Power Tools.
  • As of May 1, 2023, Dr. Katharina Hartl took over responsibility for commercial topics from Stephan Hölzl.
  • Henk Becker remains in the Bosch Group as President and prepares to assume a group-wide management role for ‘Emerging Regions’ effective October 1, 2023.
  • Stephan Hölzl joined the business sector Mobility Solutions and will become member of the Board of Management of the Electrified Motion division.

Stuttgart/Leinfelden, Germany – Bosch Power Tools is implementing the following changes on the Board of Management: Effective June 1, 2023, Thomas Donato (51) will take over as President from Henk Becker (56). As early as May 1, 2023, Dr. Katharina Hartl (47) took over responsibility for commercial topics from Stephan Hölzl (54).

Henk Becker has been a member of the Board of Management of Bosch Power Tools since 2013 and has been President of the division since 2019. He remains in the Bosch Group as President and is preparing to assume a group-wide management role for ‘Emerging Regions’ effective October 1, 2023. Stephan Hölzl has been a member of the Board of Management of Bosch Power Tools since 2019 and joined the Mobility Solutions business sector on May 1, 2023. As member of the Board of Management of the Electrified Motion division, he will be responsible for commercial tasks there.

About Thomas Donato

Donato studied electrical and automation technology at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and at Dublin Institute of Technology (Ireland). Since then, he has completed various positions at ABB Robotics and was member of the Board of Management of Rockwell Automation Inc. Most recently, he was responsible for global sales and the factory automation business as Member of the Board of Management at Bosch Rexroth.

About Dr. Katharina Hartl

Hartl received a doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Innsbruck and joined the Bosch Group in 2003 as a trainee. Since then, she has completed various commercial positions in Germany and China. Most recently, she was responsible for the field of electrification as Senior Vice President Finance and Controlling in the division of Powertrain Solutions.
