Bosch has made the most popular detector in its class even better. Thanks to an improved user interface featuring simplified mode selection and results display, handling it is even more comfortable and convenient. The GMS 120-27 Professional multi scanner reliably detects non-ferrous metal at a depth of up to 12 cm, ferrous metal at up to 10 cm, live cables at up to 5 cm, and wood at up to 3 cm. That gives users in the trades and industry more safety when drilling. The GMS 120-27 Professional lets them know where pipes and power lines are located, plus it helps them avoid and prevent damage. It also finds wooden substructures reliably when fitting hanging cabinets in living rooms or kitchens, to name just one example. In addition, the multi scanner’s shockproof rubber housing, along with its IP54 dust and splash protection, make it even more durable. As a result, the GMS 120-27 Professional is even better suited than ever before for tough jobs on construction sites.

Proven and new functions for fast and precise results

Proven functions – like automatic calibration, the luminous color-coded LED ring, the center finder for easy and precise indication of objects’ centers, and the marking hole for direct marking – have been kept and enhanced. Once it is turned on, the tool now always automatically detects metal and live cables. Users can activate the wood detection mode at the press of a button while working on drywall. The color of the luminous LED ring switches from green to red when it detects an object in its immediate proximity. Moving the tool back and forth over the area in question pinpoints the precise location of the object. Like a car parking sensor, acoustic signals additionally indicate when the GMS 120-27 Professional is getting close to an object in the wall. That makes it easy to determine the right spot for drilling. Users can also turn off the acoustic signal by changing the settings on the tool.

Flexible Dual Power operation with regular or rechargeable batteries

Flexibility is also the name of the game for users when it comes to selecting their energy source. Thanks to the Dual Power functions, they can operate the GMS 120-27 Professional with standard AA batteries or with an optional lithium-ion battery that can be recharged using a USB-C® cable.

The GMS 120-27 Professional is available starting in July. All prices are recommended retail prices and do not include VAT.
