Bosch has a selection of dust extractor solutions that provide trade and industry professionals with a simple way of reducing dust while working – in line with technical standards. The new Expert SDS Clean plus-8X and SDS Clean max-8X dust extraction drill bits from the Expert accessory range deliver up to 25 times better dust extraction compared to similar accessories without a dust extractor. The dust extractor protects users, machines, and accessories while making work easier on professionals by eliminating the need to clean holes with compressed air and a brush before installing chemical anchors, among other things. Users must follow cleaning instructions provided by the anchor manufacturer. Combining drilling and dust extraction into a single step saves time. The portfolio also features the Expert SDS Clean Adapter for drilling with conventional 5 to 16 mm SDS plus drill bits, which is also suited for overhead work, as well as the Expert SDS Clean Set for RTec chisels, which do a particularly efficient job of removing material. The latter helps minimize and prevent dust exposure during tasks such as demolition work. All of the solutions are easy to attach to an external dust extractor such as the new GAS 18V-12 MC Professional M-class extractor.

Expert SDS Clean plus-8X and max-8X dust extraction drill bits in detail

The Expert SDS Clean plus-8X drill bit for drilling diameters of 12 to 20 mm and the Expert SDS Clean max-8X drill bit for drilling diameters of 20 to 32 mm extract drilling dust straight from the source through a robust steel pipe that surrounds the entire length of the drill bit. The 4-cutter full carbide head punches through reinforced concrete effortlessly. The steel pipe can be removed for cleaning if it becomes clogged with substances such as wet concrete – a major advantage compared to dust extraction drill bits that only have small openings on the drill head and are difficult or impossible to clean.

The Expert SDS Clean plus-8X drill bits for drilling diameters of 6 to 10 mm, which are mainly used in interior construction, are the latest addition to the Expert range. They too are equipped with 4-cutter full carbide heads and feature a dust cap to catch concrete and rock particles that break off during drilling, keeping the workplace clean. All dust extraction drill bits are available with or without the Expert SDS Clean Connector, which can be used to connect the drill bit easily and conveniently to a dust extractor.

Low-dust drilling and chiseling thanks to adapters

The Expert SDS Clean Adapter for drilling is a universal solution for avoiding dust. Suited for conventional 5 to 16 mm SDS plus drill bits, it fits on SDS plus rotary hammers from a variety of manufacturers and is compatible with standard dust extraction systems. It extracts drilling dust efficiently near the drilling hole, even on overhead jobs and in a tight working environment. Expert SDS Clean Sets for RTec pointed or flat chisels are available for all those who want to chisel without excessive dust. The Clean Sets are easy to mount, are adaptable to the length of the chisel, and are compatible with standard dust extraction systems.

Expert-class dust extraction

All dust extraction drill bits are part of the Bosch Expert accessory range, which is unique in the market and covers the most demanding applications across all major trades, in line with the mission to deliver “The best your tool can get.” Bosch offers over 1,000 products in the Expert performance class. Expert accessories shine where conventional accessories reach their limits and are superior to standard accessories by leaps and bounds – just like the new dust extraction drill bits.

The Expert SDS Clean plus-8X drill bits for diameters of 6 to 10 mm will be available starting in September. All the other solutions are already available.
