With the Expert O780 Foil, Bosch offers professionals in trades and industry a one-of-a-kind abrasive for random orbit sanders. It was especially developed to provide outstanding lifetime and an extensive range of applications on a variety of materials, as well as compatibility with all common sanding pads on the market. The Expert O780 Foil also delivers first-class surface quality, making it the optimum choice for carpenters and professionals in interior construction, drywall, staircase construction, metalworking, and painting, as well as for painters at auto workshops.

Outstanding lifetime thanks to special ceramic grit arrangement on foil base

The ceramic grit helps ensure a perfect finish for softwood and hardwood, paints and coatings, spackle and fillers, drywall, steel plates, and other common surfaces. By breaking into smaller parts than aluminum oxide, for instance, the ceramic grit and thus the abrasive sharpens itself every time it is used. The ceramic grit is also applied in a special pattern on the foil base to maximize robustness and stability. On the models with a coarse grit of 60 to 180, the grit is arranged in an airscrew pattern. The open ducts in between provide enhanced dust extraction and prevent clogging, which also contributes to the abrasive’s long lifetime. The tear-resistant foil base is also suited for wet sanding and sustained sanding of rough material edges.

Universal hole pattern and key information at a glance

Thanks to the new, innovative OneFit hole pattern, the abrasives fit all common sanding pads on the market. The brand, performance class (Expert), and grit are printed on the front, unlike with conventional abrasives. That way, it is easy for users to quickly see important information such as the grit – an added plus that can prove helpful, especially when taking a break during the sanding process.

An expert-class abrasive

The Expert O780 Foil is available with diameters of 125 and 150 mm and a grit of between 60 and 400. It is part of the Bosch Expert accessory range, which is unique in the market and covers the most demanding applications across all major trades, in line with the mission to deliver “The best your tool can get.” Bosch offers over 1,000 products in the Expert performance class. Expert accessories shine where conventional accessories reach their limits and are superior to standard accessories by leaps and bounds – just like the new Expert O780 Foil.

What is more, the new W480 Web is now making sanding easier and more convenient than ever before for users who need an innovative manual abrasive beyond working with random orbit sanders.

The Expert O780 Foil is available starting in fall, both in large and small packs. All prices are recommended retail prices and do not include VAT.
