A particularly robust and easy-to-operate rotary laser with green laser and long range ‒ this is the new GRL 650 CHVG Professional from Bosch. It offers professionals in structural and civil engineering, road construction, facade and window installation, hall construction or landscaping a working range of 650 meters (diameter) and is particularly sturdy: The GRL 650 CHVG Professional with IP 68 protection is dust-tight and waterproof ‒ this also includes the battery thanks to an enclosed battery compartment. The lateral grips and all-round damping material protect the rotary laser reliably against impacts. This means, for example, if the tool is used with a tripod it can withstand drops of up to two meters. A further advantage is easy handling: The rotary laser is connected simply via Bluetooth with the smartphone and then conveniently controlled and personalized via the Levelling Remote App. With the GRL 650 CHV Professional, professionals always have an overview of the settings thanks to the integrated display. The last four inclination values of the integrated dual slope function, for example, can now also be saved and called up here directly. Following work interruptions, this allows professionals to continue with a certain application quickly and easily, such as the alignment of drainage systems to a central drain. Furthermore, with its new ‘CenterLock’ function the rotary laser offers an even wider application range. It helps, for example, to precisely align facades.

More control for simple, precise results via display and app

Professionals can conveniently adjust settings or read results via the intuitively operated display. The Levelling Remote App provides added value: It can be used, for example, to visualize the dual slope function. Slope values in the X- and Y-axis of ± 8.5 percent can thus be easily visualized and adjusted. Larger inclinations can be set by using the manual mode ‒ thus the application range is very wide. Other functions that can be set via the display and app include, for example, the sweep angle, rotation speed and the Anti-Drift System (ADS). With the GRL 650 CHVG Professional, the ADS now has a further sensitivity level which means that it is not triggered, for example, by vibrations caused by construction site vehicles. Time and money saving is guaranteed by ‘uCal’, the calibration assistant of the app: It offers step-by-step instructions for simple calibration. The device no longer must be sent to a service center for this purpose. Measuring errors are minimized and professionals can count on an accuracy of ± 1.5 millimeters per 30 meters.

Functional equipment from receiver to battery

The GRL 650 CHVG Professional works with the receiver LR 65 G Professional. The latter is equipped with an extra-large receiving field of 125 millimeters and thus reliably detects the position of the laser beam. With the ‘CenterFind’ function activated, the center of the receiver is found automatically by the rotary laser, the laser is then aligned to it and the inclination is displayed as a percentage. If you wish to align the rotary laser continuously or over a long period to the center of the receiver, use the new ‘CenterLock’ function to do this. This guarantees that the rotary laser retains its exact position over the day, for example, in case of temperature variations. This allows facades, for example, to be aligned precisely over the complete length and height of a building. Two illuminated displays ‒ one on the front and rear side of the receiver respectively ‒ make it easy to read the position of the laser beam. Thanks to the softgrip, the receiver sits well in your hand and, if necessary, during calibration of the rotary laser for example, can be hung up by the hook or secured to metallic surfaces by the integrated magnets.

Thanks to a dual power supply, the GRL 650 CHVG Professional is always ready for operation: It is compatible with all batteries in the Bosch Professional 18V System up to 8.0 Ah. Applications with the high-performance battery Pro-Core18V with 4.0 Ah are particularly efficient ‒ with a runtime of up to 50 hours. Alternatively, the tool can also be operated with four D cell batteries – a matching adapter is included in the scope of delivery.

The GRL 650 CHVG Professional is available from January 2022. Accessories such as tripods and measuring rods are available from the Bosch accessory range.
