Three new leveling tools from Bosch – the GLL 18V-120-33 CG Professional and GLL 80-33 G Professional 360°-line lasers as well as the GLL 20-22 G Professional cross-line laser – make precision leveling a breeze for tradespeople. The new tools are perfect for interior tasks such as drywall construction, installing suspended ceilings, laying tiles and pipes, and cabinet installation. Thanks to the green laser lines, which are up to four times more visible than the red lines produced by comparable tools, drywall builders, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and professionals of other trades can work using precise horizontal and vertical lines even in bright environments and over large distances. The GLL 18V-120-33 CG Professional and GLL 80-33 G Professional 360°-line lasers each project one horizontal and two vertical lines and are compatible with laser receivers for even greater range at radius of 120 and 80 meters respectively. The compact GLL 20-22 G Professional cross-line laser projects a precise laser cross over a distance of up to 20 meters. All three tools are more robust, intuitive, and flexible than ever before – ideal for use on jobsites. Not only that, the GLL 18V-120-33 CG Professional is also the first line laser to be compatible with the Professional 18V System.

Shock-absorbing housing, new geometry, and improved IP protection

What makes the tools so special is their shock-absorbing rubber casing, with the 360°-line lasers featuring specially designed damping elements. The geometry of the laser towers has also been optimized to be lower down and include additional rubber elements to ensure that the lenses have minimal exposure and maximum protection. Dust and even water jets cannot harm the new generation of line lasers: The devices are IP65-certified for the first time.

Even simpler operation and improved keypad

Both 360°-line lasers have vertical on/off switches that can be operated easily with one hand, offering greater stability compared to those with horizontal switches. With the GLL 18V-120-33 CG Professional, the 360° beams can also be assigned to the respective laser tower with ease thanks to the newly developed keypad on the corner of the housing and then be selected and deselected individually. The GLL 18V-120-33 CG Professional can also be controlled remotely with the Bosch Leveling Remote App, ensuring that laser lines are not moved unintentionally once positioned, for example.

Up to three different power sources for maximum flexibility

The new GLL 18V-120-33 CG Professional, GLL 80-33 G Professional, and GLL 20-22 G Professional line lasers also offer users maximum flexibility when it comes to power. The GLL 18V-120-33 CG Professional, for instance, is the first line laser to be compatible with the Professional 18V System. The recommended ProCore18V battery with 4.0 Ah offers up to 20 hours of runtime with three laser lines activated, or up to 28 hours in energy-saving mode. The GLL 18V-120-33 CG Professional can also be operated with a 12V battery from the Professional 12V System or with four C-cell batteries with the right adapters – in both cases for runtime of up to eight hours. Thanks to its integrated, robust mount, the GLL 18V-120-33 CG Professional can be attached to magnetic surfaces, screwed down or fastened with a ceiling clamp. With the pivot fine adjustment, it can also be altered with precision around a fixed reference point on the ground.

The GLL 80-33 G Professional 360°-line laser can now be operated with the new BA 3.7V 3.0Ah XL Professional 3.7V lithium-ion battery or four AA batteries for up to five hours in normal mode with three laser lines. The battery can also be charged while being operated thanks to the USB-C connection. Using the keypad on the top of the housing, users can control each laser line individually and also activate energy-saving mode. The receiver mode for working with a laser receiver is always on automatically, so no additional button is required.

The compact GLL 20-22 G Professional cross-line laser projects a precise laser cross to the front. Thanks to the new U-shaped front window, the horizontal opening angle is now even wider, projecting the laser line further than previous models. The new 3.7V lithium-ion battery powers the tool for up to eight hours, while four AA batteries offer up to six hours of runtime. With the universal bracket, which is included with both types, the line lasers can be attached to almost any surface with screws or through the integrated magnets. All three models feature a 1/4” thread, while the 360°-line lasers also have a 5/8” thread for working with a tripod.

The line lasers are available from September onwards. All prices are recommended retail prices and do not include VAT.
