Bosch will offer DIYers even more convenience when sawing in future: The EasySaw 18V-70 is the first cordless jigsaw in the Bosch entry-level segment while the UniversalSaw 18V-100 features a cutting depth of 100 mm, i.e. 25 percent more than its predecessor, and is a powerful all-rounder. Just like the corded tools in the product portfolio, users will therefore be able to select the cordless jigsaw which best suits their needs when implementing individual projects.

First cordless jigsaw in the entry-level segment: EasySaw 18V-70

Laying a laminate floor, individualizing the children’s room furniture, or beautifying the balcony ‒ the EasySaw 18V-70 offers 70 mm cutting depth and is a reliable helper for smaller projects. It is light and compact, fits well in the hand, and is simple to use ‒ just “easy”. Both in the application and when changing the accessories: Thanks to the optimized and smooth SDS quick-clamping system, the supplied saw blade can be changed in a matter of seconds without an additional tool. All conventional jigsaw blades can be used, including for example metal saw blades to saw out decorative elements from sheet steel. Sawing laminate, items of furniture made of wood or plastic, aluminum profiles and much more ‒ the new EasySaw 18V-70 is extremely versatile.

Powerful all-rounder: UniversalSaw 18V-100

The UniversalSaw 18V-100 offers an even higher cutting depth of 100 mm and is a powerful all-rounder for all common sawing applications. Laying parquet flooring, cutting kitchen worktops to size along with necessary cut-outs for the sink and stove, cutting terrace boards to length, and cutting the individual elements for a tree house or a climbing frame in the garden to size – all these tasks can easily be performed using the UniversalSaw 18V-100. Thanks to speed regulation, the cordless jigsaw can be operated precisely and guided in a controlled manner for every cut. Its four-stage pendulum enables individual adjustment of the cutting speed. The supplied accessories also mean that the UniversalSaw 18V-100 lives up to its claim as an all-rounder: For example, the attachable CutControl system ensures that a user can follow the cutting line precisely. The splinter guard prevents tear-out on the top of the workpiece while the glide shoe protects sensitive surfaces from being scratched during sawing. When the dust extractor is connected, a dust cap optimizes the dust being extracted directly at the saw blade.

Both cordless jigsaws feature a free blowing function which removes sawdust quickly and reliably and ensures a clear view of the cutting line at all times. A vacuum cleaner can also be connected to the jigsaws, for example the cordless AdvancedVac 18V-8 wet/dry vacuum cleaner. It ensures that dust is extracted directly where it is produced. The result: Precise and low-dust sawing.

“Power for All” – one battery for all applications in the home and garden

The EasySaw 18V-70 and UniversalSaw 18V-100 enhance the 18 V „Power for All“ battery system from Bosch. It comprises around 40 DIY tools, garden tools and home appliances – and thanks to the “Power for All Alliance”, it even goes beyond the Bosch range. All tools – from rotary hammer to lawn mower – can be operated with one and the same 18 V lithium-ion battery. Only one charger per volt class is needed. This saves DIYers space and money and protects the environment.

The EasySaw 18V-70 and UniversalSaw 18V-100 will be available from September. All prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
