Bosch has a range of dust extraction solutions that provide trade and industry professionals with a simple way of reducing dust while working. The latest addition, the GAS 18V-12 MC Professional, is the first M class dust extractor in the Professional 18V System, making it suitable for tasks such as extracting quartz dust resulting from concrete processing and other activities. A low-dust environment also protects tools and accessories, allows a clear view of the workpiece, and enables more precise work. The extensive Bosch range features special dust extractors for drilling and chiseling, including dust extraction drills and chisels, dust extraction guards for angle grinders, as well as various wet/dry extractors that can be attached to power tools directly and without an adapter using the Click & Clean System. On top of that, Bosch now offers an auto-start retrofit solution for all existing corded vacuum cleaners in its range so that users have less dust when working with cordless tools. The auto-start kit, which comprises the GCT 30-42 Professional transmitter and GCA 30-42 Professional receiver, is also brand-neutral.

GAS 18V-12 MC Professional: up to 99.9% less dust

The GAS 18V-12 MC Professional wet/dry extractor provides professionals with the flexibility and compact design of a mobile tool combined with the high performance of a corded vacuum cleaner. It reliably filters 99.9% of dust thanks to its M classification while also having an IPx4 dust- and splash-resistance rating. A powerful Biturbo motor lets the GAS 18V-12 MC Professional produce an air flow rate of up to 30 l per second – powered by a single battery. If this falls below 20 l per second due to a filter blockage, for example, the integrated volume flow monitoring system alerts the user with an audible and visual signal. The dimensions of the filter are designed for day-to-day construction site operations, and the conical shape allows a vortex to be created inside the dust extractor so that dust collects more slowly on the filter. In addition, the filter is automatically cleaned each time the battery cover is closed, ensuring high suction performance for longer. The GAS 18V-12 MC Professional has antistatic properties that are unique on the market. Electric charge is dissipated over the components in such a way that less dust sticks to the tool, and all the dust particles are reliably extracted into the container or disposal bag, protecting the user against discharge as well. The net volume is 8 l, or 6 l for wet extraction. One highly convenient feature of the GAS 18V-12 MC Professional is the auto-start mode, made possible by the GCT 30-42 Professional transmitter, which comes standard. After being attached to the power tool, the transmitter switches the extractor on and off automatically based on the vibrations it detects.

Auto-start retrofit kit makes for less dust when working with cordless tools

The GCT 30-42 Professional and GCA 30-42 Professional modules, which take the form of a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver, make up the retrofittable auto-start kit for all corded professional dust extractors from Bosch. Designed specifically as an open system, the modules can be used to retrofit many other cordless tools and corded dust extractors from any manufacturer thanks to the integrated socket, provided that they are compatible. The small transmitter is attached to the cordless tool using a flexible yet robust rubber band. After initial pairing, it is connected automatically to the receiver located in the socket of the dust extractor and enables the tool to be switched on and off automatically according to the vibrations detected. If required, the dust extractor can also be operated manually. In this case, the transmitter is used just like a conventional remote control. Another significant advantage compared to existing solutions on the market is that important functions such as the dust extractor’s follow-up time are retained when using the auto-start retrofit kit from Bosch. The transmitter also has an IP54 rating, making it dust- and splash-resistant. Integrated LEDs on both the transmitter and receiver indicate the system status. If the two lights are yellow, for example, the transmitter and receiver are too far away from each other.

The GAS 18V-12 MC Professional wet/dry extractor and the auto-start kit are available as of now. All prices are recommended retail prices and do not include VAT.
